The Maine Small Business Development Centers (Maine SBDC), a statewide program that helps entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses, announces the development of small business resources now available in English, French and Somali.
Two helpful guides are available at no-cost in English, French, and Somali:
The Guide to Starting a Business in Maine helps aspiring entrepreneurs understand how to start a small business in Maine. The guide provides answers to questions about selecting a business entity, finding financing, registering your business, getting insurance, selecting a name, reporting taxes, and more.- The Writing a Business Plan Guide provides entrepreneurs with step-by-step guidance on how to write a business plan. It highlights the important parts and provides helpful tips and tricks for each section.
“Maine SBDC has supported thousands of entrepreneurs and small business owners from a variety of backgrounds. Creating easy access to resources has always been a priority as we work to dismantle hurdles which might otherwise prevent someone from accessing the tools available to start and run their small business,” commented Maine SBDC State Director Mark Delisle.
