In 2022, Paul Dube founded DealPoint Corporation, an application development company with a mission to develop automated and cost-effective solutions for small businesses. His new app, DealPoint.app, will connect small businesses with customers on a real-time information-sharing platform. The system develops geographically targeted marketing campaigns allowing businesses to stay connected to their customers.
Paul was seeking advice on funding opportunities and building a business in Maine. He connected with Maine SBDC at USM Business Advisor Anne Lancaster. Anne helped Paul understand the resources available in Maine and suggested that funding from the Maine Technology Institute (MTI) would be a good fit. Together they walked through the MTI grant application process. Anne reviewed and suggested edits for each document to ensure a strong proposal.
Their hard work paid off when he was awarded funding which will allow DealPoint to continue the development of their app. This funding enabled Paul to do market research and beta testing that will allow the company to access future funding.
